So many similar times recalled in the reading. Others in their differences valuable too. All forcing self-examination. The book is not only a record of one life, but a statement about gambling addiction that links around us all. As Margaret Mead said so prophetically for the place of women in society, 'Never doubt that a small group of individuals can change the world, indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.'
