In philosophy, events are objects in time or instantiations of properties in objects. However, a definite definition has not been reached, as multiple theories exist concerning events. ======================== Sam Drug Rehab

As an ex club doorperson all I can say is "good on you girls" - and they thought you were just a mob of sheep walking in.

I wish I could think of a reason I gamble besides the excitement. I have had a wonderful life and family and don't know how to quit doing this to myself. I feel like a real devious, secret person that no one really knows. They think I'm so happy go lucky...but I'm very unlucky to the tune of so much.

Hi Julie! I have just read your amazing book at last! It is an amazing insight into so many shared feelings, fears, escapes for so many women gripped by gambling addiction. So many similar times recalled in the reading. Others in their differences valuable too. All forcing self-examination. The book is not only a record of one life, but a statement about gambling addiction that links around us all. As Margaret Mead said so prophetically for the place of women in society, 'Never doubt that a small group of individuals can change the world, indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.' Seems that across the world we might be coming up to that challenge? Talk soon and keep writing! Libby Mitchell (Australia)
